VICTORIA – The gloves are off as The Impromaniacs, Victoria’s original Improv troupe, present Cage Match – Round #2! at the Victoria Event Centre, 1415 Broad Street on Thursday, February 15th at 8:00 pm. Featuring Upfront Theatre from Bellingham WA. Vs. Victoria’s own Impromaniacs!
These two teams will face off to “out-wit” and “out entertain” in order to lure the audience in their favour. What lengths will each team go to for your vote? If you really want to know, you’ll have to come down, join the laughter and then decide for yourself.
The evening begins with friendly and witty theatre game antics, as the teams “make nice” for the first half, then the gloves come off and the mayhem begins!! Bring along your best suggestions and get ready to rumble! Each team is given 25 minutes to perform, no more, no less. Anything can happen as our teams explore and expand improv to new heights and duke it out to the finish! Audience stacking, bribing, and begging for your admiration will be common occurrences in the ring. Be there to decides who goes on, and who goes home!
Tickets for this exciting match will be available in advance from Lyle's Place (770 Yates Street - cash only) or at the door (cash only) on the night of the show.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
In an effort to keep theatre affordable, if you buy your tickets in advance we'll give you 3 bucks off the regular ticket price!
