The Gloves Are Off!!...Cage Match: Round One!

VICTORIA - Get out your verbal hammerlocks and dust off your melodrama, it's time for a Cage Match…of wits. The Impromaniacs, Victoria's longest standing improv troupe are proud to launch Cage Match 2007. The gloves are off as two teams of improvisers take the ring to duke it out for audience votes and see who's the smack down superstar of spontaneity!

Victoria teams UVIC Improv and Triple Threat are launching the series, pitting their mental powers against one another to see who gets to come back for more. Audience stacking, bribing, and begging for your admiration will common occurrences in the ring. Be there to decides who goes on, and who goes home.

The Impromaniacs begin the evening with witty theatre game acrobatics, then we get ready to rumble! Each team is given 25 minutes to perform, no more, no less. Anything can happen as our teams explore and expand improv to new heights and duke it out to the finish!

It all takes place Thursday, January 18, 8pm at the Victoria Event Centre located at 1415 Broad Street - right across from the A Channel.

Tickets for this exciting match will be available in advance from Lyle's Place (770 Yates Street - cash only) or at the door (cash only) on the night of the show. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.

In an effort to keep theatre affordable, if you buy your tickets in advance we'll give you 3 bucks off the regular ticket price!
